The mechanism of quantitative and uniform coating of adhesives on the surface of wood-based panels (including veneers). There are roller gluing machine, spraying machine, spraying machine, extruder and other types of gluing equipment suitable for film and powder. The most widely used is the roller glue coating machine, which can be used for the coating of synthetic resin glue, animal glue and vegetable glue. According to the arrangement of rollers, it can be divided into two-roll glue coating machine, four-roll glue coating machine and one-sided glue coating machine.
(1) The two-roll glue-coating machine is the glue-coating machine which feeds glue below. The lower rollers take the glue on the belt and pass it to the upper rollers. The veneer passes through the two rollers with glue on both sides. The amount of glue coating depends on adjusting the gap between the two rollers. Another factor affecting the amount of glue coating is the form and number of grooves on the surface of the rollers, which are usually expressed by the pitch, groove width and groove depth of the grooves.
(2)Four-roll glue-coating machine is the glue-coating machine which feeds glue on the top. Each of the four-roll glue-coating machine has its own glue-coating machine before and after the top and bottom glue-coating rollers. The extrusion rollers play a role in controlling the amount of glue applied, which overcomes the disadvantage of large amount of glue applied by two rollers glue coating machine and inconsistent amount of glue applied between upper and lower rollers. The four-roll glue coating machine also has a glue conveying device and a water-cooled circulating system for the glue tank.
(3) The principle of one-sided coating machine is the same as that of four-roll gluing machine. The machine has only one rubber-coated roll, which can accurately adjust the distance between the upper roll and the extrusion roll and between the upper roll and the lower roll. It can coat uniform rubber layer on one side of the wood-based panel surface to meet the technological requirements of surface processing.
The principle of the spraying machine is to make the glue flow through the narrow and long gap to form a film, veneer or wood-based panel through the film on one side glue. This machine is suitable for the coating of synthetic resin adhesive. The amount of glue is affected by the viscosity of the glue and room temperature. The amount of glue can be adjusted by adjusting the size of the gap. This machine has a large amount of glue, which is generally used in the production of thick plywood or the surface processing of wood-based panels.
