Russia Moscow Wood Industry and Woodworking Machinery Exhibition

Publish Time: 2023-11-10     Origin: Site

Woodex is Russia's largest and most influential woodworking machinery exhibition. The exhibition period is from November 28, 2022 to December 1, 2022, lasting 4 days.

European Union of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (EUMABOIS), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, Federal Service of Industry, Government of Moscow, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and Federal Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

In addition to displaying forest products, various semi-finished products, wood core boards, wood chip laminates, fiberboards, etc. from the wood industry, we will also display the most important woodworking machinery and mechanical equipment (hot presses, cold presses, dryers). In addition, there are tools, hardware accessories, wood industry, primary processing and deep processing, ecological restoration, waste recovery and recycling, production of low-quality waste wood products, resource conservation and ecological safety and other process technologies. This includes not only wooden crafts, but also consumer products, handicrafts and crafts. The topics it covers are broad and comprehensive. Here, well-known manufacturers and suppliers showcase the latest equipment and technologies for carpentry, furniture production and wood waste utilization.

According to data from the Russian Furniture and Woodworking Industry Association, the share of imported furniture accessories in Russia is expected to reach 95-97% in 2021-2022. There are two reasons for this trend. One is the recent rise in metal prices in the Russian domestic market, and the other is the backward technology of Russian parts manufacturing companies.

According to Avasus market research, among the consumption structure of accessories in the furniture field, 40% is used in kitchens, 20% is used in various storage systems (wardrobes, dressing rooms), and 15% is used in doors and windows. , 10% for upholstered furniture, 5% for bathroom furniture and other types of furniture.

In addition to imported goods, another problem on the Russian furniture market is the adaptation of production equipment (same assembly lines) to accessories for certain models. Reconfiguration or re-equipment of production equipment requires a significant financial investment that not all manufacturers are willing to undertake. But this will not happen unless the state provides support for production and re-equipment in the form of grants, subsidies or soft loans. Therefore, the market demand in the furniture industry has increased significantly.
