After the first hot pressing of the board is completed, the veneer or technical wood (called in Chinese) is pasted, and then the melamine paper is hot pressed. This method is called direct sticking. This kind of process requirements for the plate is strict, and it needs to go through two processes of fine sand and coarse sand, so that the surface veneer can be smooth and not carbonized. Mainly used in furniture, decoration, wooden floors and cabinets.
And then it is directly veneered by the hot press. This method is called cladding. This kind of requirement for the plate is relatively low.
There are 3 types of heat presses in the Chinese market. The first one is a short-cycle veneer heat press (both sides). The base material is MDF or PARTICAL BOARD. In this way, the laminated board is flat and beautiful.
The second is a multi-layer veneer hot press (single-sided), the base material is PLYWOOD, then you can choose a low-tonnage hot press, such as an 800-ton press.
The third type, multi-layer veneer hot press (single-sided), the base material is MDF, PLYWOOD, you can choose 1200 tons, 1600 tons of hot press, the pressure can be adjusted according to the different plates.
So when you want to choose a veneer heat press, you must first know what kind of sheet you want to veneer.
Divided into three steps
In order to ensure the quality of the impregnated film paper, high-quality decorative base paper must be used. No matter what kind of paper it is, it should be used after passing the inspection at the time of entry. During the dipping process, operate in strict accordance with the technical requirements, and take samples for inspection every half an hour to ensure that the amount of glue is 130% to 150%, the volatile content is 6% to 7%, and the degree of pre-curing is less than or equal to 65%. Technical requirements; dipping The dried adhesive film should be immediately packed with plastic film and sealed with adhesive tape; stored in a warehouse with a temperature of 20-25°C, a humidity of 55%-65%, and an air conditioner installed, and the storage time should not exceed 3 doors. ; When using, the principle of opening after use is adopted. The paper that cannot be used at one time should be sealed immediately and sent to the warehouse for storage, so as to prevent the adhesive film paper from being stuck together due to moisture absorption and unable to be used, resulting in unnecessary losses.
The substrates of veneer wood-based panels are usually medium density fiberboard and particleboard. For particleboard, it should be purchased according to the different requirements of customers, but the particleboard products must meet the requirements of GB/T4897-92 first-class products. Quality requirements for substrates:
(1) The surface of the board is flat and clean, no water stains or oil stains are allowed, and there can be no slipping edges, gnawing heads, etc. within the effective size.
(2) The thickness deviation of the plate should not exceed ±0.2mm, and the sanding should be uniform, and no sand leakage is allowed.
(3) The moisture content of the board should be controlled within the range of 6%-10%. Since particleboard is mostly purchased from outside, changes in the environment can cause changes in the moisture content of the board. If the moisture content is too high, it may cause blasting and delamination during the veneer process; if the moisture content is too low, or the volatile content of the impregnated paper is too low, the surface may not be well wetted during hot pressing. Cardboard delamination. Therefore, in the production process, it is necessary to observe and promptly remove unqualified substrates.
The three elements of the hot pressing process are interdependent and mutually restrictive, and need to be analyzed and adjusted in a unified manner when adjusting the process. The three factors have different effects on the veneer. The hot pressing temperature mainly catalyzes the chemical reaction of the impregnated resin, that is, accelerates the curing. According to the actual requirements of production and the author's experience, the temperature of the hot pressing plate is more suitable at 145-165 °C. High temperature is conducive to demoulding after pressing, and can shorten the hot pressing period and increase output, but too high temperature makes the resin solidify before it flows evenly, resulting in tiny pores on the board surface.
1. Place the skin-feeling or high-gloss film on the back of the paper and the front on the steel plate.
2. Hot pressing machine.
3. Cover with protective film.
4. Trimming and packing.
Two typical hot pressing temperatures are recommended: 135 degrees for six minutes, 160-170 degrees for 50 seconds.
If the board is not flat, resulting in air bubbles after pressing, you need to put the plain board on the hot press, and then put the paper and film to press and paste, which can prevent air bubbles. When the plain board is an uneven substrate, the pressing temperature should not exceed 170 degrees.
Test the peel strength after the sheet has cooled. It is recommended to use a CNC engraving machine for skin-sensing board cutting, otherwise it will collapse. Trim with a utility knife.
